Building Collaborative Coalitions
Building Collaborative Coalitions is designed for folks who are leading or working within community-based coalitions, nonprofit organizations, and networks. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, fed up and fired up, in need of community, restless and ready for change, this is the place for you.
How We’ll Work
This six-week cohort is about unlearning as much as it is about learning. Together, we’ll self-reflect, learn the tools and frameworks for transformative and systems leadership, and ground in somatic practices that shift us from fear-based decision-making to love-based decision-making.
Getting Grounded
We’ll dream about what’s possible, establish group agreements, and deepen connections with fellow cohort members.
Understanding Ourselves, Sharing Our Story
What is our story, and how does our experience shape the way we build community and engage in change work?
Unconscious Bias and Belonging
We’ll learn what unconscious bias is, how to address it and build a culture of belonging.
Power and imagination
We’ll reflect on how power operates in our lives and explore how to creatively build collective power within our coalitions and communities.
Accountability in leadership
We’ll discuss simple, reliable methods for moving beyond compliance to build trust and address issues effectively.
Weaving it all together
Cohort participants will share end-of-course projects, celebrate new learning and prepare for what’s next.
